Configuration Management
A half-day course that concerns all aspects of the Configuration Management process. The training is a combination of lecture and lab exercises that follow the Configuration Management process. After the course students are able to describe how the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) needs to be configured and how it can be kept up to date. Every aspect of the CMDB will be discussed and practiced.
ExpertDesk enables several options for configuring the CMDB, these options are discussed in the course. Besides entering data in the forms, students also learn to link different items in the CMDB by using the link mechanism. Because the CMDB also supports the other processes such as Incident-, Problem-, Change- and Operation Management we address the use of the CMDB in these processes as well.
